DAY 1: FLIGHT TO LUANG PRABANG Upon arrival at Luang Prabang airport, meet tour guide and transfer to hotel and free at leisure. DAY2: LUANG PRABAMG WALKING TOUR Luang Prabang, the former royal capital, is best known for its ancient temples and romantic setting at the confluence of the Mekong and Kane Rivers. Because of the compact size of the peninsula, Luang Prabang is best explored on foot and bicycle. In the morning we embark on a half-day walking tour, visiting the National Museum (formerly known as the Royal Palace), later walk to unique morning market and continue to Hean Chan typical Luang Prabang wooden house, explore European colonial building and step into 16th century Buddhist temple Xieng Thong. The afternoon is free to explore or relax on your own. Perhaps you’d like to climb the Phousi Hill to enjoy excellent views of the lush green World Heritage city and the Kane and Mekong River. DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG-NONG KHIAW After breakfast, check out and pick up at hotel, drive to Nong Khiaw along great landscapes following the Nam Ou River. Discover a remote and beautiful landscape along the way, visit(s) of villages inhabited by tribes which practice crafts. On arrival in Nong Khiaw, Afternoon we make a soft cycling to a hidden cave (Pha Tok cave) which was used in the war time. DAY 4: NONGKHIAW - MUEANG NGOI KAO - BAN KIOUKHAM After breakfast, In the morning we take a traditional boat up stream of the Ou River to Ban Had Sapheuy (Khmu village), and then we start trekking up hill to Ban Kioukham, a Lao-style picnic lunch is taken on the way when hiking across several ridges offering panoramic views onto the forests. We’ll arrive the village in the afternoon and explore around before a traditional Khmu dinner cooked by the villagers marks the end of an adventurous first day and Overnight at the homestay in Ban Kioukham Note: 4-5 hours walking Today meal included: Lunch and dinner. DAY 5: BAN KIOUKHAM - BAN HOUAISENE Rising early you may be able to hear the cock calling to wake you up before the sun is up, after absorbing our last images of the Khmu people and their rare village life, we'll start walking through the beautiful natural surroundings to Ban Nam Tap (Hmong village) and Ban Sangsavang ( Khmu village ), a Lao-style picnic lunch is taken on the way when hiking across several ridges offering panoramic views onto the forests, afterward we continue walking to Ban Houaisene (Thai Deng villages). A traditional Thai Deng dinner cooked by the villagers marks the end of an adventurous second day and Overnight at the homestay in Ban Houaisene Note: 3-4 hours walking Today meal included: Breakfast Lunch and dinner. DAY 6: BAN HOUAISENE - MUANG NGOI KAO-LUANG PRABANG Rising early, you may be able to hear the cock calling to wake you up before the sun is up, after absorbing our last images of the Thai Deng people and their rare village life, we'll start walking through the rice field and beautiful natural surroundings to Muang Ngoi. On the way we’ll stop at the cave and have a break here, you can also be swimming here before continuing to Muang Ngoi. And by traditional boat downstream to Nongkhiaw and by road back to Luang Prabang Note: 3-4 hours walking Today meal included: Breakfast Lunch DAY 7 LUANG PRABANG-DEPARTURE Following breakfast, in this morning depart Kuangsi water fall, swim in the turquoise waters, or simply explore the beautiful small forest surrounds. Enjoy free time before visiting a nearby sanctuary which cares for and rehabilitates bears rescued center from animal traders, or from deforested habitat and transfer to the airport for your nest destination.
